Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber has admitted his side was taught a lesson against England in the semi-final of the Vancouver tournament.

Baber says despite a huge 40-7 loss to England his side regrouped and came strong against USA.

“We were taught a lesson my England in the semifinal.

They came strong but I think we did well against USA. I’m proud to say that did well and they did for all the families back home.”

Meanwhile, Fiji has slipped to third place on the Sevens World Standings after finishing third.

The side has 100 points while England has moved to second position with 103 points and South Africa still leads the series standing with 126 points.
