A man was charged with a burglary on Bau Street in Flagstaff, Suva, which gained attention on social media. The family reported that their belongings had been stolen.
Following a joint effort by the Criminal Investigations Department, Operations, and Intelligence teams, a raid was conducted at the accused’s home in Saivou, Ra.
The 34-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with one count of burglary and one count of theft. Several stolen items worth around $1,500 were recovered during the joint investigation.
The man has appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court and is currently in custody at Totogo Police Station due to other ongoing investigations.
