Goundar Shipping’s managing director, George Goundar, has apologized to the people of Fiji for the subpar services provided over the past six months.

He committed to improving operations by introducing a newly acquired vessel, Lady Daya, which was brought to Suva after the Lomaiviti Princess 7 got stuck at Vunisea Jetty in March.

Goundar sincerely apologized to the people of Fiji and travelers for the maritime issues and expressed his hope to regain their trust.

He has invested over six million dollars to upgrade the vessel, which will provide increased comfort and space and advanced restaurant facilities and accommodation.

Goundar has assured the public that these improvements are part of a broader strategy to enhance Goundar Shipping’s service quality and reliability, aiming to not only meet but surpass passengers’ expectations.
