A disturbing video of some midwives chasing the family members out of the ward is also being widely circulated.

It can be clearly heard in the video that the father wants answers from the health workers on what caused their baby’s death.

The Ministry says it will also investigate the actions of the midwives concerned.

Disturbing photos of the dead baby are also being circulated.

It is alleged that the Nawaicoba woman had gone to the Lautoka hospital earlier this week but was told that the baby was due on April 18th.

She later had labour pains at home and was taken to the Lautoka hospital.

She gave birth about 10 minutes after her arrival at the hospital.

The family including the husband were happily waiting outside however it is alleged they were chased by the midwives.

After about an hour and a half, the woman was transferred to another bed.

The doctor then advised the family that the baby was already dead in the womb.

The concerned family members say that just the day before this sad incident, the woman went for the check and was told that the baby was fine and the baby’s heart beat was normal.

They say they want justice and clear answers on what happened to the baby.
