Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has emphasized the role of the Online and Safety Commission in the investigation of a cyberbullying incident involving a member of the LGBTIQ+ community.

He stated that the Commission should only consider official reports from the public or personnel.

Rabuka also highlighted the importance of lodging a formal complaint to the Commission, which will investigate the matter.

Police will seek legal advice regarding the death from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission has filed a complaint with both the Fiji Police Force and the Online Safety Commission to investigate the death and hold the perpetrators accountable.
