Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has called for unity and collective effort to build a better Fiji. He recognized the nation’s challenges but emphasized that these obstacles could be overcome.
The people of Fiji are beginning to understand that despite their differences in language, customs, and traditions, they share a common bond.
Rabuka also addressed recent criticisms of the government’s performance, reminding parliament of the expected challenges.
He acknowledged that an incoming government after the 2022 elections would face significant difficulties and frustrations, and addressing these issues would take time.
However, he expressed confidence that progress is being made in the virtual reconstruction of the country.
Rabuka also emphasized the importance of Fiji’s diplomatic relations with over 182 countries, stating that these relationships are crucial.
He believes that the people of Fiji realize that they all belong to Fiji and that these islands are home to all of them.
