Tourism is the main driver of Fiji’s growth, presenting various opportunities and investment needs. Fiji Airways will adopt American Airlines’ AAdvantage program as its official frequent flyer scheme and explore new direct routes to the US.
As demand rises, there is a growing need for new investments, especially in hotel capacity. The upcoming budget will extend the Short Life Investment Package tax holiday to investors who acquire existing hotels and undertake renovations and refurbishments of more than $50 million.
Tourism Fiji has increased the marketing budgeti, and strategic reforms will be implemented to make it easier for investors to invest in Fiji and the Fijian brand.
