It is alleged that Kumar had abducted and raped the then 14-year-old girl in January 2014.

The alleged incidents occurred at Nasinu, Nadi and Rakiraki.

The court heard how the accused allegedly kept the complainant at his uncle’s house in Rakiraki against her wish.

The witness cried throughout her testimony.

She would make her statement, cried intermittently and continue. Judge Humza remained unperturbed.

The complainant also told the court that she managed to get a hold of her mobile phone, which was kept by the accused and informed her mother of her location.
