Gunshots fired at Hanmer Springs home with kids inside | NZ FIJI TIMES

Updated: 6:41am – Several shots were fired at a house that had children inside during a home invasion in Hanmer Springs on Monday night.

Police said there were a number of adults and children in the house when the shots were fired about 9.30pm on Monday but nobody was injured by the gunfire.

A man in his fifties was assaulted at the house and suffered a moderate head injury during the incident.

The scene is under police guard.

Police want to hear from anyone who has seen a silver 2017 Nissan X-Trail, with the registration number KQU365, since about Monday 10pm.

Police said the occupants of the car should not be approached by the public.
