The legal battle between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie over the French winery they once co-owned, Château Miraval, is intensifying.
Jolie’s lawyers have submitted court documents alleging that Pitt tried to make her sign a revised non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to prevent her from speaking about his alleged abuse and covering it up.
A source close to Pitt said that the legal action is just the latest example of Jolie harming the entire family by making it personal. Pitt’s legal team has previously criticized Jolie’s motion as “broad and intrusive.”
The source also claimed that the other party is desperately trying to divert attention from the fact that Jolie requested an NDA about the divorce, which completely undermines the legitimacy of their ongoing attacks.
The disagreement over Château Miraval dates back to 2022 when Pitt sued Jolie for selling her stake in the winery to a third party, Tenute del Mondo.
On July 15, Pitt’s attorneys requested that Jolie’s motion to compel his communications be denied. They argued that Jolie’s demands included sensitive information, such as therapy sessions Pitt undertook following the 2016 family plane incident that led to their divorce.
This legal battle has intersected with their separate conflict over the custody of their six children. A source close to Jolie has accused Pitt of using the NDA to conceal his alleged misconduct, stating that no abuse survivor should be coerced and forced into silence.
