Updated: 6:52am – “I do not fear this government or the Republic of Fiji Military Forces but only fear God.”
National Federation Party’s Parliamentarian Parmod Chand made this comment during NFP’s Talanoa Session at Labasa’s Civic Centre yesterday.
Chand also said that 12 years is too much for anyone to run a government and it is important to remove this government and get a great change.
Parmod Chand also spoke highly of NFP’s leader, Professor Biman Prasad saying his not only been a Professor and Dean at the University of the South Pacific but is the only person from the Northern Division to be a parliamentary leader in Fiji’s parliament.
He told the people of Labasa that they should be proud that their own son is leading the NFP.
Meanwhile, Professor Biman Prasad again highlighted that a NFP government will give $100 minimum guaranteed price for sugarcane.
Prasad also told about 200 supporters attending the talanoa session that the cost of living is very high and over the last 10 years, people’s income has stayed almost at the same level on average but the costs have kept going up.
He says if NFP comes into government, they will remove VAT from 15 basic items that people need every week. Prasad says they will provide the list of items closer to the election.
NFP’s leader also stated that they will implement $5 per hour minimum wage rate.
