Updated: 7:10am – Fiji Airway’s Men’s National 7s team captain Jerry Tuwai says he is ready to perform at the best level possible in the Las Vegas 7s next weekend.

Tuwai who has scored more than 83 tries for Fiji since his debut has been one of Fiji’s top performers in the World Sevens Series so far.

The 29-year-old says as the Team captain he is still a member of the team and he is still required to perform whether he has that responsibility or not.

Statistics by World Rugby highlight that he has scored 12 tries for the Fiji 7s team this season and this makes him one of the three top players in the team based on statistics.

Tuwai says they are continuing to learn from their mistakes and it is important that everyone continues to support the team whether they win or lose.

Fiji will play Russia in their first pool match of the Las Vegas 7s at 12.06pm next Saturday and we take on France at 3.07pm next Saturday. Fiji then play their final pool match against Kenya at 8.36am Sunday.

The Cup quarters start at 1.26pm next Sunday, the Cup semis will be held at 9.12am on Monday 5th March while the Cup final will kick off at 12.30pm Monday.
