Priest for Disaster Management, Inia Seruiratu says they are in the process to introduce 26 more torrent cautioning alarms in Viti Levu.
While reacting to SODELPA MP Jese Saukuru’s inquiry on the viability of our tidal wave cautioning framework, Seruiratu says they will begin the alarm establishment in November and the areas have been recognized.
The Minister adds that the tidal wave cautioning framework is successful for the time being, it tends to be improved and the public authority is focused on improving it.
Seruiratu says they are likewise in chats with the specialist organizations for versatile applications.
Seruiratu further says they have directed more than 300 instructional courses to assist individuals with dealing with their own catastrophe reactions should they get a tidal wave alert.
