Update: 7:15am – Police say investigations are still ongoing on the cause of the fire in a house at River Road, Narere that claimed the lives of a 31‑year‑old mother, her 4‑year‑old daughter, her 3‑year‑old son and her 18 months old daughter Thursday afternoon.
The National Fire Authority says they received the call at 12.50pm and when they arrived at the scene, the lean‑to corrugated iron and timber house was fully engulfed in flames.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the crime officers have confirmed that the mother and her three children were inside the house when the fire started.
Naisoro says the father is admitted in hospital after he attempted to commit suicide earlier this week.
Police are trying to speak to the father.
