The increased presence of police and LTA officers will be conducted on major roads and highways throughout August to ensure compliance.
LTA Acting Chief Executive Irimaia Rokosawa emphasizes the importance of seatbelts in reducing fatal injury risk for front-seat occupants.
He states that all vehicle occupants must wear seatbelts when in motion, whether seated in the front or rear.
The law requires drivers to secure all passengers, including children over eight.
