Updated: 6:30am – A man charged with alleged rape of his 14-year-old niece in Nasinu has been granted bail pending trial.
The man is charged with two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

Judge Justice Riyaz Hamza said that the man has been in remand since August this year and the prosecution has not objected to bail on the grounds that the trial may start in 2019.
The man has been released on bail with two sureties.
The accused has been ordered to live in Tailevu and has been prohibited to travel to Nasinu where the alleged incident happened.
He has also been ordered to report to the Nausori Police station every Saturday.
The matter has been adjourned to 11th December.
