Updated: 6:13am – A 26-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly raped and robbed a 35-year-old woman in Valelevu.
The man allegedly entered the victim’s home while she was sleeping, threatened and raped her, and later took off with a phone and assorted items.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the items alleged to have been stolen from the victim was also found in his possession by the arresting team.
He has been charged with one count of burglary, one count of rape and one count of aggravated robbery and will be produced in the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.
