UPDATED: 7:22am – A 19‑year‑old man alleged to be involved in a robbery case at a law firm in Nakasi last Thursday has been charged with aggravated burglary and will be produced in the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.
7 Laptops valued at around $7,000 and valuable items including $3,000 cash was stolen from the law firm in Nakasi.
Officers from Nakasi had been pursuing the suspect after information was received of his alleged involvement and while on patrol they sighted him walking along Kings Highway near Nakasi.
An officer gave chase by foot whereby he was injured after the suspect allegedly threw stones at the officer.
The 19‑year‑old man also assaulted members of the public who tried to stop him during the pursuit.
He was eventually arrested after he was overpowered by two other officers.
