Updated: 6:33am – Fire investigators are returning to the scene of a suspicious blaze in Māngere this morning.
Emergency services were called to an abandoned house in Robertson Road around 8pm yesterday.

There were initial concerns there might have been children in the building, but further investigation showed the property was empty.
Police have spoken to three young people seen in the vicinity of the fire.
A fire spokesperson said police were at the scene overnight.
He said today’s job would be to determine the cause of the blaze.
