A person has died in a motorcycle crash in Waikato. The incident occurred on Arapuni Rd near Oreipunga Rd in Pukeatua at around 3:45 pm.
Initially reported as involving two vehicles, it has since been confirmed as a single-vehicle accident with a motorcycle.
The serious crash unit was examining the scene, and the road was closed, causing delays to motorists.
In another incident, a person with “critical injuries” was found on the road. He was at the intersection of Elmdon St and Bader Drive in Auckland around 5:55 pm.
Two ambulances were called, and the injured person was taken to Middlemore Hospital.
A section of Elmdon St was closed, and cordons have been established to allow police to investigate.
Motorists are advised to follow the directions of emergency services staff at the scene.
