Updated: 6:11am – The Jet set town will be declared a city in December.
Local Government Minister, Parveen Kumar, made the announcement during the foundation laying ceremony for the new Namaka Municipal Market.

Nadi will be the third city in Fiji.
“And come December Nadi will be declared a city. What else you want? That’s going to happen. Some people think it won’t happen but let me say here today that it’s going to happen when we declared Nadi the third city.”
Over four million dollars is being invested in the new market which will have five hundred stalls, accommodation centre and a fourty-eight bed accommodation facility.
