Updated: 12:30pm – A 38 year old woman appeared before the Nadi Magistrates Court this afternoon charged with one count of rape of another woman. Amele Wabale appeared before Magistrate Peni Daletuicama.
It is alleged following a night out at a night club night in Nadi on the 8th of February, 2018 , the accused and the complainant went for dinner. The complaint alleged that later when she was sleeping at a residence in Namaka , the accused allegedly kissed her ,fondled her breasts and private parts. The 25 year old victim then reported the matter to police.
The case has been transferred to the Lautoka High Court and will be called for mention on the 21st of this month. Magistrate Daletuicama had refused bail and remanded Ms Wabale in custody.
