The man in Dunedin is in his 40s and started to show side effects five days subsequent to coming back from Germany. The young person is one of two relatives of the man who was tried. The outcome for the other relative isn’t back yet.

Dr. Bloomfield said the Dunedin man’s child goes to Logan Park High School in the city and had side effects.

He said if the child tried positive, the Ministry of Health would suggest the school shut for 48 hours and was deliberately cleaned.

Tonight, the school affirmed it would be shut on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Health Ministry has now affirmed the understudy’s test returned positive, making him the twelfth case right now.

“The school is to close for 48 hours while close contacts are followed and placed in self-seclusion and are checked by wellbeing authorities day by day. Different contacts will be offered guidance regarding what to do in the event that they become unwell. The school will be deliberately cleaned before reviving.”

The school won’t open until cleared to do as such by wellbeing authorities.

The outcome for the other relative isn’t back yet.

The two different cases affirmed today are a Wellington man in his 70s and his child in his 30s who had been in the United States.
