Some good news for drivers who have been influenced by disgraceful street conditions as the street fixing material, bitumen has at last shown up from abroad and contract based workers will begin fixing streets from tomorrow first thing.
That is the affirmation from the Acting CEO of the Fiji Roads Authority, Kamal Prasad who says they comprehend what the drivers are experiencing.
He says fixing works will begin tomorrow on Vunakace Road in Namadi Heights, paths in Raiwai and Lakeba and Tubou roads in Samabula.
Prasad says the contract based workers will begin recreation work on Grantham Road, upper Bureta Street, Princes Road and Delainavesi from one week from now.
He adds significant works will begin in about fourteen days time on Kanace Road in Valelevu, Nokonoko Road, Lovoni Road and Belo Street in Samabula.
Prasad says they likewise have plans to do reemerging chips away at Queens Road from Tamavua-I-wai Bridge to Delainavesi Bridge as there are bunches of pot openings in this part. He says works will occur in about fourteen days time.
He adds they have managed the provider of street materials.
