Nine Tonga Police suspended on corruption | NZ FIJI TIMES

Update: 8:14am – TBC reports the Minister of Police Mateni Tapueluelu has said the latest case was a police officer who was suspended on Wednesday.

He said the reason for the suspension was that the officer was drunk and had allegedly committed a crime.

Mr Tapueluelu said every police officer follow must protocol and no one is above the law and reaffirmed public concerns regarding allegations of corruption among senior police officers will be addressed but evidence is required.
