NZ: Nadi wins 2017 NZFFI Battle of the Giants.

A star studded Nadi side claimed the Manukau Liqour Centre sponsored NZ Fiji Football Inc Battle of the Giants tournament held at Bill Mckinlay Park by defeating defending champions Ba by 3 goals to nil.
The Rams Cleaning and 3 DEES Electrical sponsored Nadi side boasting the likes of former Wellington Phoenix star Paul Ifill along with former Fiji soccer stars Rinal Prasad, Salesh Kumar, Noa Vukica and James Hoyt proved too strong for Ba who had the services of Solomon Islands marksman Benjamin Totori in the final.

Hawkes Bay United striker Samuel Mason Smith who was featuring for Nadi proved his worth in the final scoring a second half hat rick to hand his side the BOG title after 3 years.
Ever green goalkeeper, Ravinesh Narayan rolled back the years by making some top class saves in the tournament which helped Nadi stamp their mark in the tournament.
The BOG victory handed Nadi a clean sweep of all titles in the NZFFI soccer calendar.
Team Nadi captain Tim Myers thanked Ba for being a tough opponent and  dedicated the win to the Late father of their team owner Neelesh Ram as they walked away with the BOG trophy and $2000 prize money.
