A man has been arrested following a robbery at a fast food restaurant in Auckland’s south, where staff were threatened and their belongings stolen.
The incident occurred at Hall St restaurant in Pukekohe around 5 am on Saturday.
Detective Inspector Karen Bright said the staff were subjected to verbal threats and had their personal belongings stolen.
The man allegedly made threats and had a firearm at the time of the robbery, but the presence of a firearm has not been established.
The 51-year-old man was arrested and charged with robbery. Detective Inspector Bright praised the arrest for addressing unacceptable behaviour among staff.
