A 45-year-old man from Auckland pleaded guilty to attempted murder after a stabbing incident at a McDonald’s restaurant.
The victim sustained serious injuries and needed life-saving surgery.
Mitesh Kumar appeared in the High Court and admitted to attempted murder as well as two counts of failing to comply with search powers.
He has been detained in custody and will be sentenced in November.
