A person died after their vehicle collided with a power pole in Tasman overnight.
Emergency services were alerted and police attended the incident at the Selwyn St and Abel Tasman Dr intersection in Pōhara near Tākaka.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene. The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
