Police have arrested a man and seized a vehicle following a fatal shooting in Mt Wellington, Auckland last weekend.
The investigation team is working to locate the main offender and hold them accountable. The victim, 22-year-old Texas Jack Doctor, was found dead in a car outside an Auckland vape store.
Police were called to Penrose Road in Mount Wellington after reports of gunfire. A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
The main offender is still being sought, and as investigations continue, there will be a high police presence in east Auckland.
A “vehicle of interest” was found during the search and seized as part of the investigation. Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact police on 105.
