The police are currently investigating a drive-by shooting.

A South Auckland musician and social media personality, Edward Ru, reportedly had his home filled with bullets last night at Plumley Crescent.

The incident occurred after gunshots were fired at the home, with children sleeping inside. Edward Ru shared videos showing the bullet holes in the windows and claimed that someone had shot at the house, saying the shooters even looked inside the rooms before opening fire from outside.

Police responded to reports of gunfire towards an address on Plumley Crescent around 8:39 p.m. Investigations are ongoing, and the Māngere community can expect an increased police presence. No injuries have been reported, and the police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Shots were fired at the windows.

Ru had recently reinforced the windows, and he expressed anger over the shootings. Police cordoned off the area last night and found multiple rounds had pierced the doors and windows of the residence.
