Six people have been hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash in Auckland’s Dairy Flat. The crash involving three vehicles occurred on Thursday at the Northern Motorway shortly after 2 pm.
Police reported that four of the six injured were in serious condition; one was moderate, and another suffered minor injuries. Initial indications suggest there have been critical injuries.

Nine vehicles responded to the accident, including police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, and a helicopter. The road was closed northbound between Oteha Valley Road and Silverdale until about 6 pm.
NZTA said motorists could expect northbound delays to ease and traffic backed up as far as Wairau Valley.
A Northern Emergency Services Trust helicopter spokesperson said the pilot found a gap in the clouds and landed in a paddock near the motorway.
