Six individuals were injured in a two-car crash in Canterbury

Six people sustained injuries in a two-car collision in Canterbury. Police responded to the incident on Ashburton Staveley Rd near Symes Rd at 3 pm.

Four people were airlifted to Christchurch Hospital, one was taken by ambulance, and one was taken to Ashburton Hospital.

The incident involved two helicopters, two ambulances, one rapid response unit, one PRIME vehicle, and one manager.

The crews assessed and treated six patients, three in serious condition and one in moderate condition.

Three were airlifted to Christchurch Hospital, one was transported by road to Christchurch Hospital, and one was transported by road to Ashburton Hospital.
