The Ministry of Health reported 8943 new cases and 25 more deaths last week. The dedicated Covid-19 Healthline and doctor services have ended, with funding ending on 30 June.

Health NZ’s Martin Hefford reiterated the commitment of healthcare professionals to the public’s health. Covid-19 will be managed as “business as usual” and treated similarly to other communicable diseases, with Healthline nurses and paramedics continuing to provide advice and information.
