Emergency services in New Zealand have been busy dealing with three incidents of pedestrians being struck by vehicles.
In Auckland, Puhinui Rd in Papatoetoe was closed after a pedestrian was struck by a car at 6.40 pm. He was critically injured and transported to the hospital.
Motorists were diverted to different routes, and the Serious Crash Unit attended the scene.
Police in Hamilton responded to a pedestrian injured on Deseret Rd at 6.45 pm. Two people were transported to Waikato Hospital in moderate condition. State Highway 23 in Raglan was closed after a pedestrian was hit by a car.
The New Zealand Transport Agency has closed the road at the intersection of Te Mata Rd in Raglan.
St John has sent one ambulance, one rapid response vehicle, and one operations manager to assess a patient in moderate condition.
