Two people have been seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 1 in the Bay of Plenty.
Police were called to the intersection with Taumangi Road in Putāruru at 2.40 p.m.
Diversions were in place, and the Serious Crash Unit was notified. Four people were injured, and three ambulances, one rapid response unit, and one helicopter responded.
Crews have assessed and treated one patient in a serious condition, one in a moderate condition, and one in a serious condition.
