A two-vehicle crash in Waikato resulted in one death and another severe injury.
The incident occurred on State Highway 39 at Ngāhinapōuri, southwest of Hamilton, just before 8 pm.
The serious crash unit attended, and inquiries into the crash’s circumstances are ongoing.
St John responded with two ambulances, two rapid response units, and one operations manager.
A patient in serious condition was transported to Waikato Hospital.
