Read, who is currently recovering from a broken thumb, is expected to sign on again with New Zealand Rugby until the 2019 World Cup.

Reid will also update his thumb injury, which he broke in South Africa at the end of April, and will hopefully be good enough to allow him to play against the British and Irish Lions next month.
