Contact between the families was not uncovered to contact tracers preceding the previous family going into isolate, Ardern said.
She was unable to say why that was not uncovered, yet it currently clarifies how the contamination occurred.
“We have now affirmed how our most recent case M and N came to be contaminated with Covid-19. That is on the grounds that they had contact with another family that we had distinguished as a component of the Papatoetoe group during level 3. Lamentably this contact was not uncovered to our contact tracers before the people going into isolate.
“Clearly disappointing data … since this occurred in a level 3 climate.

“Those choices are made by police.”
She said the main thought was getting reality rapidly.
