Overseer of Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission, Ashwin Raj says the Commission will make its accommodation on the proposed Police Bill once the bill has been postponed in Parliament.

Raj says the Commission will in its meaningful accommodation call for arrangement of the bill with the state’s basic liberties commitment under the homegrown methods and global shows and settlements that Fiji has endorsed.

He says the Commission kept in touch with Parliament mentioning for a date to make an accommodation on the proposed bill.

Raj says they were prompted that the Police Bill is yet to be postponed in the House.

He says any editorial on the draft bill before it is postponed in the Parliament is untimely.
