Update: 5:30pm – The Rewa soccer team has achieved its aim of winning back to back titles after beating Nadi 2-1 in the final of Inkk Mobile BOG at Churchill Park this afternoon.

Iosefo Verevou was the hero of the side as he scored both goals for the Vodafone Fiji FACT champions.

The half time score was nil-all.

Iosefo Verevou scored the first goal in the 12th minute of the second half before Nadi’s Rusiate Matarereqa equalised in the 23rd minute of the second half.

Verevou scored the winner in the 33rd minute of the second half after former Nadi player Vuniuci Tikomaimereke provided a great cross for Verevou to score the winner.

Both teams started the match at a high tempo and created chances but could not score in the first half.

Nadi started the second half on a high creating a number of chances and Rewa coach Marika Rodu made some crucial changes that proved vital for Rewa.

Rewa’s hero Verevou has dedicated his goals to his mother who is sick and his team mates.

Rewa will keep this trophy for life as for next year’s competition there will be a new trophy unveiled.
