Updated: 6:20am – A suspect believed to be involved in the hit and run accident in Maqere in Tavua on Sunday is now in Police custody.
This has been confirmed by Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro.

A 56-year-old man passed in this accident.
With the help of witnesses, the truck involved in the accident was found in the outskirts of Tavua.
Meanwhile, the post mortem examination of the 57 year old man who passed away after a horrific road accident in Nadi on Saturday is yet to be conducted.
He passed away after a head‑on‑collision along Denarau Road.
The road death toll stands at 33 compared to 29 last year.
