He says they’re working with relevant stakeholders to ensure a better customer experience.

“Should you face any issues with our drivers or the e-ticketing system, kindly contact us on e-ticketing hotline number 7733400 and we would be happy to assist you between 7am and 7pm.”

Maharaj is also advising the traveling public to inform the driver first your destination before tapping your card.

He says this will prevent any wrong amount of fares deducted from the card.

Meanwhile, Sunbeam transport limited has praised the implementation of the e-ticketing machines.

General Manager Zahid Wahab told FBC News this has reduced the huge number of administration works.

“Meaning that drivers and checkers are no longer handling cash so they don’t carry cash with them so this eliminates shortfalls in takings, pilferage and also theft like sometimes checkers get robbed at night so we believe that it’s a good thing. “

Sunbeam and Tebara transport are the first two bus operators that have come forward praising the system.
