The Parliament sittings booked for now, Friday 28 May 2021, and Monday 31 May to Friday 4 June 2021 have been dropped.

In an articulation, Speaker of Parliament Ratu Epeli Nailatikau affirms a secretariat staff has been recognized as an essential contact of a COVID-19 positive case.

Ratu Epeli adds as a prudent step and upon the order of the Ministry of Health and Medical Services, the Parliamentary areas and workplaces will be shut with quick impact until additional notification.

He says all Parliamentary business will continue upon exhortation and freedom from the Ministry of Health and Medical Services.
