The accused has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in the High Court at Auckland on 18th September.

Due to interim name suppression, the man’s identity is being kept confidential, and his family and friends are supporting him.

During the court appearance, the man wore an unzipped boiler suit and blew a kiss to a woman in the public gallery.

An unrelated incident in Auckland over the same weekend involved an alleged stabbing in Mt Wellington.

A man and a woman have been granted interim name suppression for the murder of a man in Mt Wellington.

The victim was critically injured and later died, while two others were moderately wounded. The stabbing occurred on Saturday at Tomuri Place.

The accused couple appeared separately in court, with the man remanded in custody and the woman granted bail.

They are both scheduled to appear in the High Court at Auckland on 18th September.

These were two separate incidents in Auckland over the weekend, resulting in two deaths – one from a gunshot wound in Onehunga and the other from a stabbing in Mt Wellington.
