Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Livai Driu has reminded vehicle owners to avoid leaving their cars unattended with keys in the ignition.
The reminder comes after two reports of suspects stealing vehicles after finding the keys in the ignition.
Driu warns that opportunists will exploit such situations and urges owners to be more cautious and secure their vehicles.
He also warns that checkpoints will be erected to prevent vehicles from being used for other crimes.
