A 35-year-old woman from Fiji is set to appear at Suva Magistrates Court. She is facing two charges of obtaining financial advantage by deception.
In the first case, the woman allegedly obtained $220 from a victim after claiming he had won a lottery.
She asked for his personal information and One Time Pin, which he provided, and transferred the money without his consent.
In the second case, she transferred $150 from the victim’s account without his consent.
The victim only discovered the missing amount when he saw a message confirming the transfer was successful.
Both cases have been charged with two counts of deception.
