Woman on trial for allegedly managing a brothel | NZ FIJI TIMES

UPDATED: 6:34am – The trial of Gita Mani charged with allegedly managing a brothel has started in the Suva Magistrates Court.

A woman who worked at Farry’s Massage Parlor in 2010 took the stand as a prosecution witness today and said she worked at the Parlor in Samabula for one year.

She said she found the job advertised in the newspaper and when she went for the job interview, she was told that she would get paid if she slept with a man.

The woman said that her boss Gita Mani who is the accused told her to perform certain sexual acts. She further said that the service charges range from $30 to $100.

The prosecution witness said six people worked at Farry’s Massage Parlor and it used to open from 9am to 9pm. She also said that the accused was in charge of bringing in the clients and the woman would get four clients in a day.

The trial continues.
