WORLD NEWS: Singapore cancels passport of citizen who ignored isolation rule

Singapore has dropped the identification of one of its residents who was found to have broken a necessity to isolate himself in the wake of coming back from abroad.

The man showed up by ship from Batam, Indonesia on March 19, and left again for Indonesia that day notwithstanding being given a notification to remain at home for 14 days.

Bloomberg reports he came back to Singapore on March 24 and was given a subsequent notification.

Singapore has forced stricter measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus, and the individuals who make bogus or deluding travel affirmations can be arraigned.
