World: South Africa sinks Fijis hope

The Vodafone Fiji 7s side lost in the final of the Las Vegas tournament going down to South Africa by 19-12.

Fiji’s Masivesi Dakuwaqa scored an early try and Fiji took a lead of 5 nil in the game before Cecil Afrika gave his team the lead.

South Africa took a narrow 7-5 lead at the half time.

In was a tough second spell with Chris Dry and Rosko Specman scoring two unanswered tries for South Africa.

Fiji’s Waisea Nacuqu scored the second try for the national side in the later stage of the second half.

Sevuloni Mocenacagi was shown the red card in the dying minutes before South Africa claimed its fourth title of the season beating Fiji 19-12.
